Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
friend@email.com

One day we are talking about life, hopes, dreams and sharing tears in the middle of the night until the laptop battery died.
Months later, account is deleted. Do you ever stop and remember?
Or do you just keep going forward, laughing, sharing broken dreams with anyone who will listen?
A new online name like a new pair of shoes. Discarded at the first signs of wear. . .

In the recent Bloomberg Television and The Washington Post, in partnership with WBIN-TV and host Dartmouth College, presidential debate; Herman Cain debunked mathematical fact that stated his plan would fall short of the revenue required to just keep the current government afloat. He also insisted that his tax code would pass “Because the people want it to pass!“.

Personally, I am not certain which people he is talking about. The last thing anyone I know in America wants is another tax. Especially a taxation without representation.

The 9% for a federal sales tax is pointless. Currently we have state sales taxes. In theory they currently fund roads, road repair and other facilities that assist consumers to get to the store locations where they purchase said products and pay the sales tax. But with companies like Amazon.com going to entirely digital formats and home delivery services, these taxes are almost obsolete: Except for California.

While I am all for ditching the current tax code and the insanity that encourages dishonesty. I think Herman Cain would have been better off with just 9-9. Perhaps he just didn’t want to be known as the candidate who was one penny short of a dollar.

Why AT&T and T-MOBIILE merger should be DENIED

I have one simple reason and two examples of why this merger should not be allowed.

Reason: AT&T hates its’ customers.

Example 1:
I was visiting Novosibirsk, Russia (The 3rd largest city) in 2010. Before leaving, I called AT&T customer support to ask their assistance with unlocking my iPhone 3GS. This is what they told me:
“Oh no, we can’t unlock your phone. Besides, we have signal in Novosibirsk.” They lied.
When my life was put into danger, it was only due to my fast thinking and talking that saved me from literally being burnt alive by a mob of drunk Russians. When I had tried to use my iPhone to call the police, it did not work. There is no signal in Novosibirsk for AT&T customers.

Example 2:
2011, I have been an AT&T customer for a little over a year now. Apple is now selling unlocked iPhone 4s. Unfortunately for me, I bought mine in 2010 and it’s of course locked. I am leaving for Russia again, I call up AT&T and ask for them to unlock my phone. I explain that I am going to an area where there is no AT&T service. Their response: “Apple won’t let us unlock your phone. Sorry. But we can suspend your account and charge you only $10.00 a month. This is what we do for our Military users that must be deployed to remote areas.”

For a moment, let us put aside what I am going to say about my life being in danger again with no ability to call for help because of these jerk offs. I want to examine the above statement. It is shameful that this American company is allowed to deny our service men and women the ability to unlock their phones and use them as personal communication devices when deployed. It’s a sham that AT&T doesn’t instead offer them an unlock and number forwarding feature for the cost of $10 while deployed. But instead limits their abilities to keep in touch with family and loved ones back home.

Now with that being said. Not only was my life put into danger by the Toxic chemical spill here in Chelyabinsk, but at the time, I had no internet, no radio or TV and no way of using my beloved iPhone to get me any information about the crisis.

As an aside in 2008 when I called T-Mobile to unlock my Motorola because I was traveling to the Ukraine. They e-mailed me the unlock process and required information in less then 6 hours.

Here is an idea for you to chew on AT&T. Get out of the personal cellular business. You want to be the best network? Then take that $39 billion to build the network and resale it at a reasonable cost to decent companies like T-Mobile. Companies who actually understand that their business is about the customers and the service they provide to them. You obviously do not get it and never will.

[ 12.19.18.13.04 ]

I delighted in the fairytale wizards of old. Powerful men and women dedicated to their craft of memorizing bizarre and intricate incantations for the purpose of effecting the physical world around them. Purposefully locking themselves away in isolated towers. Personal hygiene often forgotten and sleep almost meaningless as they poured over faded tomes in the pursuit of whatever it was they personally craved.

Night after night I arrange and rearrange syntax in algorithmic incantations and database queries. Faded tomes being replaced with an illuminated iPad screen. The hidden library of knowledge accessible in the Codexes of Google and Wiki.

From the halls of Redmond at One Microsoft Way to the isle of 1 Infinite Loop. We are the Wizards of New. Our conjured toys define your reality. . .

[ 12.19.18.13.03 ]

It’s 05:48 AM in the morning. I’ve been up all night programming, again, as usual. My lady is passed out with her son. I pondered sleep until the boy rolled over his mom and using her neck as a resting place for his leg planted his tiny foot against my forehead. I decided that sleep would wait and got up to set the water to boil.

Green tea with jasmine (Greenfield: Jasmine Dragon) or Coffee (Nescafe GOLD Instant with two spoonfuls of Nesquik Chocolate mix for flavouring, since I can’t do milk.) For me tea is a stimulant and coffee is a sedative. After I have woken the lady and her boy to get him off to school, I will want to pass out. Coffee won.

We have all been sick off and on with flu like symptoms since the toxic bromine spill. Thank the gods they have Theraflu in this country. That and Sprite (yes, the soda) was just what the Dr. ordered. Although, I don’t call Sprite by name anymore. I fondly refer to it as “Toilet Cleaner”, since that is what most people here buy it for.
